Meesho pricing: how to set your selling price as a supplier

By StitchMagic team · Last checked and updated 23 October 2026

Meesho pricing starts from your own cost, because Meesho charges “0% Commission rate across all categories”: what it deducts is the forward shipping charge, which you pay, plus 18% GST on it. Before you accept a price, the Price Recommendation tab shows the Transfer Price, the amount Meesho shows as transferred to you (supplier.meesho.com/pricing, retrieved 4 Oct 2026).

The short version

  1. Add up your cost per piece and packaging.
  2. Add the shipping charge shown for your product, plus 18% GST, and the return fee.
  3. Enter the Price and GST at catalog upload.
  4. Check the Transfer Price in Price Recommendation, then Accept or edit.
  5. Check settlement and profit in the Meesho commission calculator.

Does Meesho charge commission? What comes out of your price

No. Meesho's pricing page says “Meesho charges 0% Commission rate across all categories”, and registering as a seller is free (supplier.meesho.com/pricing, retrieved 4 Oct 2026). The money that leaves your price goes on shipping, GST on that shipping, returns, and two government deductions, TCS and TDS. Each line below is in Meesho's or the government's own words.

An RTO is an order that goes back to you undelivered after the courier's attempts; Meesho does not charge a return fee for those, only for customer returns. The full list with every date is in every Meesho fee, from Meesho's pages.

How to set your price on Meesho

Five steps, in the order you meet them. Steps 3 and 4 follow Meesho's own wording (supplier.meesho.com, retrieved 4 Oct 2026); we have no Supplier Panel screenshots yet, so none are shown.

  1. 1

Add up your landed cost per piece

Write down what one piece costs you to make or buy, delivered to your door, and the packaging for it. These are your numbers; Meesho does not see them.

You should see: One cost figure per piece, for example ₹180 plus ₹15 packaging in our kurti example.

  2. 2

Add the shipping charge, its GST and the return fee

Take the shipping charge the panel shows for your product and add 18% GST on it. Then note the return shipping fee, which varies by product and sits in the product details section.

You should see: Shipping plus its GST per piece: ₹70 + ₹12.60 = ₹82.60 in our example, plus the return fee on each return.

  3. 3

Enter the Price and GST at catalog upload

Meesho's order is: select a category, upload the product images, then “fill in details like the Price, GST, etc.” (How it works, retrieved 4 Oct 2026).

You should see: The catalog form with your price and the product's GST rate filled in.

  4. 4

Check the Transfer Price in Price Recommendation

The Transfer Price is the amount Meesho shows, in the Price Recommendation tab on the left panel, as transferred to you for a given price. Next to it Meesho gives a recommended price, “View Comparison” shows how your product compares to a competing product, and you can edit the price before you click “Accept” (Meesho learning hub, retrieved 4 Oct 2026).

You should see: Accepted prices move to the “Accepted” tab.

  5. 5

Check settlement and profit before you accept

Put the price, GST rate, shipping charge, cost and return rate into the Meesho commission calculator. If the profit per order is too thin, edit the price in step 4 instead of accepting.

You should see: Bank settlement per delivered order and average profit per order shipped, after returns.

Worked example: pricing a ₹399 kurti

On a ₹399 kurti with a ₹70 shipping charge, Meesho's settlement to your bank is ₹314.10 per delivered order, and your profit after costs is ₹115.00. With 20% of orders returned and a ₹70 return fee, the average falls to ₹78.00 per order shipped. These are our example inputs, not Meesho rates; the calculator produced them on 7 Oct 2026.

LineAmount
Selling price incl. 5% GST₹399.00
Commission (0%)₹0.00
Shipping charge + 18% GST−₹70.00 − ₹12.60
TCS 0.5% of ₹380.00 taxable value−₹1.90
TDS 0.1% of ₹399−₹0.40
Bank settlement per delivered order₹314.10
Profit after tax credits, ₹180 cost and ₹15 packaging₹115.00
Average per order shipped (0.8 × ₹115.00 − 0.2 × ₹70)₹78.00

Inputs: StitchMagic example (F-1526). Fees: supplier.meesho.com, retrieved 4 Oct 2026; TCS PIB; TDS incometaxindia.gov.in.

Our Meesho commission calculator with a ₹399 kurti and 20% returns, 7 Oct 2026
Our screenshot of the calculator with these inputs, 7 Oct 2026.

The ₹115.00 is higher than settlement minus cost because the ₹19.00 GST on the sale goes to the government while the ₹12.60 GST on shipping, the TCS and the TDS come back to you as credits, TCS against your GST and TDS against your income tax. If ₹78.00 an order is too little, raise the price or cut the box size, then run it again in the calculator.

Common Meesho pricing mistakes

The common mistake is pricing as if the shipping charge were the only cost, when 18% GST sits on top of it and customer returns carry their own fee.

On the last row: some seller blogs, sellership.in among them, list 15–20% commission for fashion and apparel, which contradicts Meesho's pricing page; we go by Meesho's page (checked 4 Oct 2026). If a listing is rejected rather than underpriced, the fix is in Meesho catalog rejected, and the panel itself is explained in our Meesho Supplier Panel guide.
