AJIO seller: how to start selling on AJIO

To become an AJIO seller, register your business details on AJIO Commerce Seller Central at seller.ajio.com; AJIO’s partner onboarding team then contacts you, and after that you catalogue products, ship orders and get paid. AJIO Commerce is the seller platform of Reliance’s AJIO. Its FAQ asks for a regular GST number, not composition, and a trademark registration or a brand authorisation from the brand owner (seller.ajio.com FAQ, read 4 Oct 2026).

How to sell on AJIO: registration steps and documents

To create an AJIO seller account, register your business details on seller.ajio.com, wait for AJIO’s partner onboarding team to contact you, and complete your seller profile; you can start selling once AJIO has verified your details and documents. The steps below are the ones AJIO Commerce’s home page and FAQ describe (read 4 and 11 Oct 2026):

  1. Register your business details on Seller Central. This registers your interest; it does not open a live store.
  2. Speak to the partner onboarding team, which gets in touch after you register to complete onboarding and agree the commercial terms.
  3. Complete your seller profile and submit the documents in the table below. AJIO says selling starts only after these are verified.
  4. Catalogue your products, one listing at a time or in bulk.
  5. Process orders under the fulfilment model you agreed, JIT or dropship.
  6. Get paid into the bank account you configured during registration.

For AJIO seller registration you need PAN, GSTIN, a bank account with KYC, your company details and a trademark certificate or brand authorisation. The table lists every item AJIO Commerce’s FAQ names for sign-up, in the FAQ’s own terms. AJIO also asks for your registration address and the address of any fulfilment centre. Collect them as scanned files before you start, so the onboarding call does not stall on a missing paper.

Who can sell on AJIO

You can sell on AJIO if you hold a regular GST number and either a registered trademark or written authorisation from the brand owner. AJIO Commerce’s FAQ puts it this way: “Everyone in India who sells genuine products and is authorized manufacturer or distributor of products is welcome.” The same FAQ says “AJIO Commerce needs regular GST number (NOT composite)”, so a seller registered under the composition scheme cannot join until they move to regular GST (seller.ajio.com FAQ, read 4 Oct 2026).

The brand rule is the one that stops most small sellers. AJIO asks for a “Trademark Registry OR Brand Authorization (Retailer/Distributor certificate)”. In plain words, either the brand is yours and you have the trademark registration to show it, or you resell a brand and its owner has given you a retailer or distributor certificate. Unbranded stock bought from a wholesale market does not meet either test.

AJIO seller eligibility: regular GST and a trademark or brand authorisation
The two checks in AJIO Commerce’s FAQ, read 4 Oct 2026. Both must be a yes before you apply.

Take a Jaipur kurta label that already sells on Meesho. If the owner has registered the label’s trademark and holds a regular GSTIN, AJIO will consider the application. If the kurtas carry no brand, or the GST registration is under composition, the Meesho seller hub is the place to keep growing, because Meesho accepts a GSTIN or, for non-GST sellers, an Enrolment ID / UIN (supplier.meesho.com, read 3 Oct 2026).

AJIO seller login, app and support

AJIO seller login is on AJIO Commerce Seller Central at seller.ajio.com, the seller site where you register and then manage catalogue, inventory, pricing and sales orders. Bookmark it and type it yourself. The ajio.com login is your shopper account, a different thing from the seller portal, so do not try your seller details there. We could not read Seller Central’s login screen on 11 Oct 2026, so we do not describe an OTP or password step.

AJIO seller app

AJIO Commerce describes Seller Central as a “one-stop seller portal” and names no seller app. The “Ajio Business” app on Google Play, from Reliance Retail, is something else: it calls itself “India’s largest online wholesale market for fashion retailers”, an app for shop owners buying stock, not for selling on AJIO (checked 11 Oct 2026). Use seller.ajio.com in a browser for your seller account.

AJIO seller support

AJIO’s FAQ says “AJIO Commerce has a dedicated Seller support team”, and its advice when sign-up gets stuck is to “connect with Seller support team or your respective account manager” (read 11 Oct 2026). Once you are live, new orders show on the AJIO Commerce portal in real time, with daily email reminders, so most order questions start from the portal itself.

The FAQ prints no phone number or support email, and neither do we. Numbers copied onto forums and video descriptions as an “AJIO seller contact number” go stale and can lead you to people posing as AJIO staff. AJIO’s onboarding team contacts you after you register on seller.ajio.com, so check any call that asks you to pay before onboarding against what Seller Central shows.

AJIO seller fees and commission

AJIO seller fees are “a combination of commission and operating expenses, as agreed during registration”, and AJIO charges them only in relation to a customer order (seller.ajio.com FAQ, read 4 Oct 2026). There is no public rate card: the numbers are set for your account when the onboarding team signs you up, so any commission figure you see on a third-party site is that site’s estimate, not AJIO’s.

The FAQ names three fee types. The margin depends on product category, brand and a percentage of the order item value. The shipping cost depends on the number of items, the volume and the distance. GST is charged on both. Your payout is your sales minus the AJIO Commerce margin, sent to your bank account on the schedule fixed at onboarding (AJIO Commerce FAQ, read 11 Oct 2026).

Is there a sign-up fee? AJIO’s FAQ does not mention one, and it also does not say registration is free (read 11 Oct 2026). So ask the onboarding team to confirm both in writing, along with the margin for your category, before you send any stock. With those figures in hand, you can work out your landed margin on a kurta exactly as you would for any other marketplace.

JIT or dropship: how AJIO fulfilment works

AJIO Commerce runs two fulfilment models: JIT, where you ship orders to AJIO’s warehouses for a quality check before dispatch, and dropship, where a logistics partner picks orders up from you. In AJIO’s words, under JIT “we ship orders from your warehouse to AJIO warehouses”; under dropship “the seller’s fulfilment centre receives orders directly from customers” (seller.ajio.com FAQ, read 4 and 11 Oct 2026). You sign up for either through the partner onboarding team.

Our view, not AJIO’s: a small brand packing from one room usually finds dropship simpler to start with, because the pickup comes to you and you avoid a second leg to a warehouse. JIT suits a seller who already ships in bulk and is comfortable with an extra quality check standing between the parcel and the customer. Ask the onboarding team which models are open for your category before you plan packing and staff.

Listing on AJIO

AJIO lets you start with a minimum of 1 listing, and you can add more in bulk by uploading an Excel or CSV file (seller.ajio.com FAQ, read 4 Oct 2026). The categories AJIO Commerce names are Fashion, Footwear, Home, Kitchen & Furniture, Luggage, Beauty, Healthcare & Hygiene, Home Improvement and Indian Crafts. Some of these are restricted and need AJIO’s approval before you can list in them.

A bulk sheet goes faster when product names, sizes, colours and prices are clean in one spreadsheet before you open the template; our bulk product upload guide covers how to prepare that file. You will also need the right HSN code for each product on your invoices, which our HSN codes for online sellers page helps you find.

AJIO’s FAQ does not publish image dimensions, so take the image rule from the catalogue template inside Seller Central once you are onboarded. Our AJIO image size page and the bulk marketplace image resizer help once you have that rule in hand.

AJIO vs Myntra vs Meesho for a new fashion seller

AJIO and Myntra both want a brand; Meesho does not, and it also accepts sellers without GST. That one difference decides where most first-time fashion sellers start. Each cell below is quoted or paraphrased from the marketplace’s own seller site, and a dash means the page we read does not state it.

If you own a registered fashion brand, apply to AJIO and Myntra in parallel; our Myntra seller hub covers that application. Selling on Flipkart as well? See the Flipkart seller hub, and for smaller channels the other marketplaces page. Every hub sits under our guides for marketplace sellers.

No brand yet? Start on Meesho. Build sales and reviews there while your trademark application is in progress, then come back to AJIO with a registered brand. Open the Meesho seller hub.
