Meesho jewellery photo size and format: what Meesho says
Meesho publishes no pixel size, file size, format or background colour for product images on the seven seller pages we read; its how-it-works page points to detailed guidelines inside the Supplier Panel (how it works, 4 Oct 2026). What it does say: upload more than one image, and “Use high-quality images that clearly show your product” (grow-sales lesson, 4 Oct 2026).
Our recommendation, not a Meesho rule: a 1000 × 1000 px square on white. Third-party guides disagree on Meesho’s minimum and none links a Meesho page that states one; the full comparison is in our Meesho image guide. Our Meesho image generator turns a phone photo into a 1000 × 1000 JPG on white with a margin on every side; it does not remove the photo’s own background, so shoot on white paper first.
How to photograph jhumkas, studs and drops
- Jhumkas and chandbalis: hang them so the bell or drop falls straight; shoot the front at eye level, then one from slightly below to show the dome.
- Studs and American Diamond pieces: lay the pair flat, shoot straight down, then a close-up with the light on one side so the stones catch it.
- Oxidised and silver-tone pieces: soft light, no flash; flash flattens the darkened detail that buyers look for.
- Pearl and bead drops: a grey or off-white card behind white pearls keeps their edge visible.
For several earrings at once, a WhatsApp-ready set from the same photos comes from our jewellery catalog maker.
Earring height, length and width in the listing
Size is what an earring photo most often leaves out. Shoot one image beside a ruler in centimetres, write the length and width in the description, and add a worn photo so the buyer can judge size against the ear. Fill any size field the Meesho catalog form shows for your category; the category comes before the images in the upload flow.
In the GST field, imitation jewellery (HSN 7117) is 3% under GST 2.0, in force from 22 Sep 2025 (CBIC Notification 9/2025-Integrated Tax (Rate), read 7 Oct 2026); check your code in our HSN code finder.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Meesho photo studio near me for earring photos?
No. Meesho asks for a sharp, clear image of the front of the product plus additional images (single-upload lesson, read 4 Oct 2026); a phone, side daylight from a window and a sheet of white paper do that for earrings at home.
What image size does Meesho want for earrings?
Meesho publishes no pixel size, file size, format or background colour on the seven seller pages we read on 4 Oct 2026; detailed rules sit inside the Supplier Panel. We recommend a 1000 × 1000 px square on white, which is what our Meesho image generator outputs.
How many photos should a Meesho earring listing have?
More than one: Meesho says uploading more than one image is recommended (how-it-works, read 4 Oct 2026). We use five: front, side, back and clasp, stone close-up, and worn. The maximum per catalog is shown in your Supplier Panel.
How do I show earring height, length and width?
Shoot one photo beside a ruler in centimetres and write the length and width in the description. A worn photo also shows the size against the ear.
What GST rate goes in the catalog for imitation earrings?
3% for imitation jewellery (HSN 7117) under GST 2.0, in force from 22 Sep 2025 (CBIC Notification 9/2025-Integrated Tax (Rate)). Confirm the HSN for your product in our HSN code finder.
