How the try-on AI works, step by step
- Sign in and open Generate in the StitchMagic dashboard.
- Pick Visualize for unstitched fabric, or Enhance & Try-On for a stitched product.
- Choose the garment category (for example Saree, Blouse or Salwar Suit Sets) and upload one photo, or switch to Bulk for several.
- Generate, check the preview, and download it or send it to your customer.
Saree, suit and lehenga try-on: pick the right page
This page covers the try-on as a whole. Each garment has its own page with the options that matter for it.
Saree try-on from fabric
Upload saree fabric and see it draped as a saree on a model.
Suit try-on from fabric
See suit fabric as a salwar, palazzo, anarkali or sharara set.
Lehenga try-on from fabric
See lehenga fabric as a finished lehenga on a model.
Blouse AI and saree blouse matching
Choose the Blouse category and upload the blouse fabric to see it stitched. The AI uses the design templates in that category (neckline, sleeve and silhouette), so generate a few previews and keep the one that suits your saree.
To check a match, make the saree preview and the blouse preview from your two fabrics and look at them together. For neckline ideas before you generate, browse the design library.
Photos that give a better try-on
- Blurry swatch: hold the phone still in daylight; a sharp weave gives a sharper garment.
- Folded or creased fabric: lay it flat so the print is not broken by folds.
- Border sarees: include the border and pallu in the photo, or the AI has to guess them.
- Dark room: colours shift under yellow bulbs; shoot near a window.
Try-on AI vs a photoshoot
| Method | Good for | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Photoshoot with a model | Campaigns and hero shots | A stitched sample, a model, a studio |
| AR try-on (live camera) | Glasses, jewellery, make-up | A phone camera |
| AI try-on (this tool) | Showing fabric as a finished saree, blouse or suit before stitching | One clear photo of the fabric |
Frequently asked questions
Is the virtual try-on free?
No. Each image the try-on generates uses credits from your StitchMagic account, and your balance is shown in the dashboard. There is no upload box on this page; the try-on runs after you sign in.
Is there an app, or does it work without installation?
There is nothing to install. The try-on runs in the StitchMagic dashboard in your phone or desktop browser.
Which try-on AI should I use for sarees, suits and blouses?
Use the Visualize tab when you have unstitched fabric and want to see it as a finished saree, blouse, suit set or lehenga. Use Enhance & Try-On when the garment is already stitched and you want it on a model, on a new background or as a close-up.
Can it match a blouse to my saree?
It does not pick a matching blouse for you. Generate the saree from the saree fabric and the blouse from the blouse fabric, then compare the two previews side by side before you cut.
What is the difference between AI try-on and AR try-on?
AR try-on overlays a product on your live camera view and suits small items such as glasses or jewellery. AI try-on generates a still image of a whole garment from a photo, which is what you need for sarees and suits.
Have a fabric photo ready? Open the try-on and generate your first preview.
